And I hate neuropathy.
And I really hate what they do to nice old guys who remind me of my dad.
And I'm really, really glad that my clinic is finished for the day, because I'm sitting at my desk with tears in my eyes, heart aching for people who are suffering. And crying isn't all that professional of an activity.

I'm sure the people you worked with today were glad that you were there. You don't think it's coincidence that your handle ended up being "Glad" versus "SRS," do you?
I'm pretty sure I couldn't do what you do. I'm sorry you had a rough day.

The names I have for cancer would burn your ears, so I won't say them. But they're not nice.
And FWIW, crying may not be "professional," but compassion is always welcome.

I agree mostly...the only part I don't agree with you on is the tears. Sometimes they are needed because like Bug said...compassion is important. Hugs
