I hate cancer.

And I hate neuropathy.

And I really hate what they do to nice old guys who remind me of my dad. 

And I'm really, really glad that my clinic is finished for the day, because I'm sitting at my desk with tears in my eyes, heart aching for people who are suffering. And crying isn't all that professional of an activity.

Me too.  My grandfather was just diagnosed with Stage IV cancer last week.  I was glad that we were back for a visit.  Don't know how much longer he's got - he's doing well now, but it's pretty iffy.  It's so unfair.

I work in development for a cancer research center, and usually I can focus just on the research side of things... but we frequently hear from donors who were affected by cancer, either as patients or as family members and it always hits home just how important our job is.  Cancer does seriously SERIOUSLY suck.  I'm sorry you're having a crummy day.

I agree mostly...the only part I don't agree with you on is the tears.  Sometimes they are needed because like Bug said...compassion is important.  Hugs
