i am thinking about having a fall baby shower the end of fall!

here are some ideas i have already what do you girls think and do you have any more ???

Foods

.Hot apple cider J

.Apple juice

.Pumpkin bread J

.Pumpkin pie J

.Pecan pie

.Carrot or spice cake with the cream cheese icing with cute leaves drawn on top and the babies name J

.Apple butter

.Cute fall decorated leaves for cookies etc. J

.Whip cream

.Mixed nuts J

.Instead of pigs in a blankie (mummy?s croissant is the mummy wrapping)

.Dirt pudding with gummy worms J

.Ham or turkey J

.Sweet potatoes with the marshmallow on top J

Ideas and games

.Wrap the (mummies) in toilet paper see who can get the other person wrapped first and someone wins a prize???

.Decorate pumpkins to look like cute babies

.Bobbing for apples

.Put diapers on the pumpkins for table decorations painted like boy or girl J

I think it's cute, except for the decorating pumpkins idea. I would be annoyed with that, personally. Just because not everyone enjoys craving pumpkins and or painting. Some just don't like art and being forced to do it.

Is this the one that also made a post earlier today that she needed recommendations for what she called "Pricey items" and listed stroller, car seat, swing, etc, crib, etc...? Because she didn't want people to buy her lots of cheap things, and then not buy her the "big things". She only wanted items over 50$. Her words. "They might spend a lot of money on little things like bottles and stuff and not get the big things..."

She DD'd that post a little bit ago.

Come on guys---you should know, the shower is all about her so she needs to be in control of EVERY SINGLE detail. I mean, if she's not 100% happy with it, what's the point of anyone being generous enough to throw one in her honor.

eta: Not to mention a fall baby shower for a Feb baby that's being planned in the beginning of July.

I would nix the carving pumpkins because it's messy and not everyone enjoys doing it and the bobbing for apples because I don't think the vast majority of women would like to ruin their makeup during it.

No where in the op does it say we are thinking or they are thinking. The only thing I see is I, I, I. Thus leading us to believe your planning your own shower. Think and reread before you post.

I like most of your shower ideas. The food sounds really yummy. At my shower they decorated onesies with fabric paint (not all of them turned out great but we got a few good ones). My mom and aunt planned my shower but my mom did ask me if there was anything I had in mind for the shower or anything I really wanted to do/eat. I think she knew I was super excited about it after it taking so long to get pregnant!

Burg, I think the food is great but I tend to agree that I dress nicely to baby showers and I don't want to ruin my make up with bobbing for apples, LOL! And Madisonh, sorry you seem to have gotten dragged in for being nice. Some people are insecure and feel the need to make fun of others behind a computer screen, just ignore them.

This is one of the reasons I wish I had never read online forums. Without the few girls that are nice, it wouldn't be worth it. Not in a million years. Too many people want to feel big and bad when it's suppose to be about support. I'm going to friend both of you.

Oh and I hope my punctuation, grammar, and spelling are up to par

Throwing yourself a shower is tacky, end of story. The OP has explained that she is not throwing this shower for herself, but the flames were before that explanation.

You obviously do not understand the definition of the word 'troll' ... because the ladies that did the snarking are not trolls, they just didn't agree with the OP's original post.

As someone who has been participating on these boards for more than 3 years, you guys are going to need to grow some thicker skin if you think this post was bad. Seriously.

~You need a subject in your final sentence. I recommend "I".
