Trying to Get Pregnant

Implantation Dip

So this is the 3rd cycle where I've seen an "implantation dip." Since the last two cycles had dips (and BFNs), I'm not reading too much into it. But I did notice that the dpo of the implantation dip has changed every month. First it was 5 dpo, then 7 dpo, and this cycle 8 dpo. Does that mean anything significant?

I'm going to go with, "no."

  • If you haven't gotten PG, then I wouldn't call them implantation dips. They're just fluctuations on your chart. Maybe this dip is an implantation dip, but you won't know till AFTER you have gotten your BFP.

  • No, it means nothing.  If you did not get pregnant in your last two cycles, then it really wasn't an "implantation dip."
  • There is an estrogen spike about that time that in some women causes temps to drop. It's very common.. happens to me every month.

Yes definitely an estrogen spike...and the lovely side effects like crying and moodiness...

  • It's a second progesterone surge that causes the temp to rebound, looking like a dip.
