I am in Northern CA (hense the name) and there has been a lot of coverage on this story in my area. Local news and the Today Show.

I'm in DC and I'm well aware of the case though I haven't heard anything on local news in some time. Are there new developments? It was on CNN so much too, I doubt many people are still in the dark about that crazy piece of work!

I think it is safe to say that if yo watched the news, you have heard of Casey Anthony. I am a news junkie and love to watch CNN, MSNBC etc. So yeah I have heard of her and am looking forward to seeing what comes out in trial vs. what has been reported in the news. But yes I do believe that she had a hand in the death of her child.

How long has the trial actually been going on for? Honestly, it seems like she's been on trial for like a year (which I have never heard of before - imagine being a juror on that case!). For how much media coverage the story got nationwide, I can't believe there aren't more updates or TV specials on the case.

I remember the story...but haven't watched any news stories lately about her. I thought when they found her daughters remains she was sent to jail for her murder...and that was it. Must search it now.

In Central California, and yes heard all about this sad sad case! I don't understand why they are waiting to take her to trial...seems obvious for a very long time that she did it. It'll be interesting when they do start trial, it's going to be hard to find a jury that hasn't heard about the case. I agree with pp, she needs to be put to death!
