Failed the 1 hour-Boo and a question.

I took the one hour glucose test yesterday, they called with the results today and I failed. My levels were 144 and the office uses 130 for the cutoff. Now I have to do the 3 hour at my next appt in 2 weeks and it sounds like no fun.

Did anyone have similar levels to mine at the one hour and pass the 3 hour?

    85% pass the 3 hour.  The odds are in your favor!!!!

    I failed the 1 hour and they didn't tell me by how much they just said alot... I passed the 3 hour though! Also they gave me the results on Monday and I did the 3 hour on Friday... They said to eat "good and better" starting Monday until Thursday... So I cut out alot of carbs and eating candy and snacks etc... I have no idea if it made a difference but I passed!

    They are giving me a sheet of what to eat for 3 days prior to the test. Thanks I feel much better now!

    I failed the first at 163 but passed the 3 hour with flying colors.....don't worry :)

    I also just wanted to stop by to wish you luck on the 3 hour! Follow whatever food plan they give you and I am sure it will help. :-)

    I failed the 1-hr w/ 165.  I passed the 3 hour w/ much lower numbers, even though the glucose was a higher concentration.

    The first hour I felt queasy, the second hour tired and the third I just wanted to leave - I was hungry!

    Also, they let me sit in my car which was much nicer.  I could squirm around and whine a little to DH ;)  And I think the walking between the car and the office probably helped process the sugar a little.  It's probably not normal to tank up on sugar and then sit perfectly still.  

    Anyway, GL!  Most do pass the second time.  I hope you're in the majority!

    I failed the 1 hr. with a 143.  I also failed the 3 hour.  Good luck.  It really isn't that bad-though I'd kill for a pizza!!
