I think I need to steer clear of the 1st Tri Board. I'm sure at some point I was all "OMG me TOO!" about a lot of these posts, but now I just have to groan and eyeroll.
Some of my favorites?
- I don't "feel pregnant." Am I going to lose my baby?
- I had a beta, and the number (no, not plural) is X. Is that good?!
- My doctor says the heartbeat is good but I googled until I found a situation where someone had that heartbeat and they miscarried. Will I miscarry?!
- I'm nauseous/not nauseous/tired/not tired/my boobs hurt/my boobs don't hurt. Am I going to miscarry??
- My first appointment isn't for 6 weeks/9 weeks/12 weeks/whatever. Is this normal?!
- My period is 7 days away from being late. My boobs hurt. I'm most definitely pregnant!
- How can I feign alcoholism so no one knows I'm pregnant!?
Re: Name your 1st Tri Board annoyances
Definitely over the "I don't feel pregnant" posts, count yourself lucky if you don't feel pregnant especially if you've already seen a happy healthy baby!
The ones I laugh at though are the "It's a Boy/Girl!" which go on to say they aren't 100% sure but they could tell & the tech told them so. If a tech ever told me before 15/16 weeks what they believed my child was I'd be laughing at them.
LMAO, i was thinking the same thing about this board sometimes. Its the same things over and over and over again.
-When should I tell my boss, my pant's don't fit, should I get the NT scan, etc..
Needless to say, it kills some time at work!
I didn't like the 1st trimester board. Now that I'm 13w2d I've been checking out the 2nd trimester board and really like it so far.

I wonder (if) when we move to the 2nd tri board people are going to say the same things about us newbies:) We all started like that (to some extend)....
I don't stop by often, the posts seem very repetitive...
It's funny... all that stuff annoyed me the first time around, but with this pregnancy, I just can't be bothered. Maybe because I know it only gets worse as the pregnancy goes on (the endless questions about mucus plug and dilation... oh dear lord) and then exponentially worse when the babies are born. I think I maxed out my annoyance factor and magically became tolerant again.
I still get all stabby when people dispense totally incorrect information as though it's the absolute truth, though. That's my biggest Bump pet peeve, for sure.
This for sure, and as soon as you try to be the voice of reason, you're suddenly a snarky b!tch. The first tri board has sucked since I joined the bump years ago.
I feel the same way!
I was starting to feel like an old fart on the first trimester board, yeah the questions are so repetitive but I know I was one of them when I first got preggo.
Let's see the ones that have annoy me now are: "am i pregnant?" "spotting/bleeding" I mean if you are you should go see the doctor right? "when should i tell people?" umm, how should we know? i think the funniest was someone asking if they should find out the sex of the baby haha, seriously? again, why or how should we know what you should do with such "personally" questions, those are the ones that would annoy OH almost forgot when they put "newbie!" as their title, omg i see that EVERYDAY.
So glad i found this board didnt even know it existed till today!!!

I HATE this with a passion. I have stopped trying to be the voice of reason. I'm just trying to help people, I'm not trying to be a b!tch.

LOL! I agree!
I finally got annoyed enough today to say to myself, "I'm done with you 1st Trimester group!"
