I live on the Canadian border and everyone here plays hockey. DS may get into it- he is 3 now and there are pee-wee leagues and its sort of the thing to do. If he expresses interest, I wouldn't be opposed.
However, ever since Sarah Palin reared her ugly head, I just can't get over the new "Hockey Mom" stereotype. I am the anti- Sarah Palin and don't want to align myself with anything she is a part of!
She's ruined it for me... ugh.
Re: s/o Hockey Moms
If we had a boy I would have been doomed. We are a hockey family, all the boys play, DH STILL plays in a league. DH thinks she will do figure skating.
My nephew is 9 and my sister and BIL live in Buffalo, NY...that's all the do up there is play HOCKEY! My poor niece just goes from rink to rink!
