With blueberry being born in July, I'm trying to figure out what I need clothing wise. Obviously if we're out and it's hot, she'll need some summer clothes. When they are home in the A/C, do you keep them in long sleeves? What about for sleeping--lightweight long-sleeved sleepers/gowns? I feel clueless!
Re: summer babies--warmth of clothes
Tyson was born last May, but during most of last summer, he just wore one-piece outfits, both inside and outside. A lot of rompers and onesies. I usually kept socks on him, though (when they would stay on!).
He also wore a lot of long sleeved footie sleepers during the very early weeks when were home. If we left the house, I put him in an outfit because I felt better if we both got dressed for the day.
He has always sleept in long-sleeve footie pjs, but they are thinner cotton ones in the summer.
DS was born in July. During the day, he wore a onesie and if he was asleep, we tucked a lightweight blanket under his legs. At night, he wore a LS, footed sleeper.
Isabella was born in early August, so we still had some hot days when she was little. At home she usually wore a cotton sleeper or a onesie with socks. When we went out she would usually wear a onesie with pants/shorts or a one-piece outfit. I always had a receiving blanket with me in case she got cold in a store or something. We had received a lot of dresses as gifts, but she rarely wore them. They just seemed impractical at the time.
At night she was usually in a cotton sleeper and swaddled in a lightweight swaddling blanket.
