Carseat +travel

We have a Britax and we are going on vacation so we need to take her seat with us. How do we get it through the airport without having to take the stroller too... we won't need the stroller when we get there. I looked at the Gogo Kidz Travelmate... any input on this or another way to get it through the airport? I can't believe it costs about $90!

Re: Carseat +travel

  • I use this which is fantastic! It's just a strap that attaches the seat to your rolling luggage (but I actually made mine myself).

They have a different brand at BRU that's around $40 but I couldn't remember what the brand was called... but it's the same thing. My brother and SIL have 2 for their kids.... awesome for traveling!

This is a great idea except I don't plan to take my rolling suitcase but I guess I could... How did you make your own? It doesn't look too difficult!

Ahh, well if you're not bringing a roller, then I'm no help LOL! I just bought nylon webbing and D-rings at the fabric store, sewed them in a "T" shape and VOILA!

Actually, what you can do instead of the straps or the gogokidz is to just use a collapsible luggage carrier like this one. We've use one before and it works perfectly.

Great ideas! How did you know how long to make your straps? I can sew (not great but it can be done, I've made pillows, toys for my DD and random other stuff).

That luggage carrier is a great idea and it's only $20! Perfect price... we'll have to see what DH thinks about that :)
