how do I make drier balls?

Is it much cheaper to make them?  I'm trying to figure out if it makes more sense to just buy them.  thanks.

Re: how do I make drier balls?

  • I'm tempted to try this but I haven't yet.  I'm not sure either if it's cheaper to just buy them or attempt to make them myself.

  • If you have left over wool from knitting it most likely would be cheaper otherwise I'm not sure but I also want to make some.
  • IMO yes. I bought some wool yarn for felting at AC Moore and wound them up and felted them. They've lasted quite a while.

There's a goodmama "recipe" you can google.
