I had a little Nigerian girl in my class a few years back named Oluwadamilola (Oh-lou-wah-dahm-ih-lo-la). She went by Lola...though that name might be a little heavy. Haha
I've seen it in several places suggested for a nn for Charlotte. I guess from the Lo part. I'm considering that becuase i love charlotte but hubby hates charlie and lottie but i cant quite get past copa cabana song myself.
Re: What is Lola short for?

My name is Leonie and my nn is Lola, it is easier for people to say and spell. It was a name that was given to me in college when we would go out
I know it is Spanish for Little Woman and is usually a term of endearment for a grandmother.
Loyola O'Connor - silent movie actress

What about Viola. It's not much of a nn since it only chops one syllable off, but it might work.
