Positive outcomes after spotting? Anyone?

Please share your positive stories of spotting/light bleeding that turned out ok. I started spotting very lightly on Sunday night. I had an ultrasound yesterday which showed the baby the appropriate size with a good heartbeat. I am still spotting some and just trying to rest as much as possible. I just need some happy, positive thoughts to even out the scared, anxious ones that keep popping into my head. Thanks!

Someone on January 2011 posted an article that even if you see spotting AFTER a heartbeat your chances of having an m/c are low... I'll try to find the post.

I had spotting for several days at 5.5 weeks, and everything is fine. I had a u/s to make sure everything was okay at the time, and then I had another at almost 7 weeks at my first OB appointment, after the spotting had stopped, and we were able to see the heart beating away, growth right on track. Spotting is really common in early pregnancy -- hang in there, put your feet up, take it easy and try not to worry!

I spotted up until the 16th week when pregnant with DD, and everything was just fine. They never did determine a cause. Hoping the best for you and your LO!

I had spotting all the way thru 1st tri, with two really heavy bleeding episodes around oh, say, 6 weeks and 8 weeks. I am still here , along with the squid, at 20 weeks.

Thanks everyone. You would think that by baby 3 I would be able to chill out a little! I didn't have any spotting with #1 and only for one evening with #2, so this is just different for me. I appreciate you all trying to boost me up.

I had some spotting Thursday night and had an u/s on Friday that showed baby was fine and a strong heartbeat. Good luck!

With my last pregnancy I had some spotting around 6 weeks, for like 2-3 days. The u/s showed that everything was fine. I had a m/c at 18wks, but totally unrelated to the spotting. Spotting in early pregnancy is actually common.

I had spotting for about 3 weeks (wks 5-8) -- no clots, and mostly dark blood, but it varied in quantity. And I am 38 weeks tomorrow and everything looks great. Good luck. I know how stressful it is

I had a lot of spotting with Lyla... brown, pink, and red. Enough that one afternoon I even called my husband at work and told him he needed to come home, because I was sure I was having a miscarriage. And fortunately, she turned out just fine.
