I just bought these hoping they would help with LOs gas. He burps like a man after every ounce (6 total) and I just don't think that is normal. I hear some babies only burp halfway through or at the end of their bottle. I used the drop-ins for the first time at his last feeding and I'm curious as to how you keep the drop-in deflated. I read on the box that you can push on it to squeeze the air out of the nipple. I did that and then gave it to Ethan. As soon as I put it down to burp him, the air sucked back in through the nipple and inflated the drop-in. Am I doing something wrong? I was under the impression that the drop-in would crinkle up as he sucked and stay that way. How in the hell is the air supposed to stay out of the drop-in? I still ended up burping LO after each ounce and he let out the same burly man burps he had before. Please help! TIA!
Re: Come in if you use Playtex drop-ins...
I can not help you on these bottles however I just wanted to say that our LO burps after every ounce no matter what bottle we use. He is just gassy..lol. However I figure it is at least good that he can get it out.
This is what we used to do~ squeeze the air out and then set the bottle down on it's side. We don't do either anymore, the bag deflates some as he eats. He hasn't seemed any more or less gassy since we quit squeezing the air out.
Ours seem to deflate like they are supposed to. I haven't noticed that air is getting sucked back in. DD burps 1-2 times during a feeding regardless. Sorry, I'm not much help to ya.
