When did you start accumulating larger dipes?

Right now we're in smalls but using some mediums (BG Bamboo and BG AIO) as well - smalls are getting iffy in the rise but the mediums are harder to get snug enough. Should I start accumulating large sized dipes now?

I think I have just enough medium/one sized. How long did mediums last for you? C is just under 15 lbs, the rise is really the reason we're finishing up with some smalls (like the BG AIO smalls have a shorter rise than the FB Smalls).

    He was in small diapers (yellow prefolds were my only "smalls" really) until about 6 months... and the second they started looking too tight for him, I ordered a dozen red edge.  I already had 3 OS BG pockets and 4 GMs and 2 other OS fitteds... so I had enough to get by until my PFs arrived.  He's been in the red for 2 months now with no sign of leaving them any time soon.  I ordered medium covers as soon as I got my PFs, since the red edge wouldn't fit inside the small covers.  (luckily, I had 3 size 2 duos on hand to get by on)

    I've essentially stopped using the PF's because the small covers are too small now (size 1 Duos, bummis, olive janes). I really need to get some medium daytime covers (I have 2 but they are for nighttime right now) so the prefolds can come back into rotation.
