Two out of my past three urine tests have come back positive for glucose (didn't start until 34 weeks). My doc just told me to "watch it on the sweets."
I passed the 1 hr glucose with no problem. Did not have any issues with pregnancy #1.
Anyone else have a similar experience? And can you tell me what I can eat when my body is screaming SUUUUUGGGGGGAAAARRRRRR at me?
Re: positive for sugar in urine
I had something similar. At my last appointment the doc said I had some sugar in my urine. The doc said we'd monitor it but he wasn't particularly worried since my 1-hour glucose test had been ok.
Like you, I've been having a lot of sugar cravings -- my best advice is to try fruit (strawberries or grapes - yum!) although I know they still have sugar, too. But, in full disclosure, I have trouble following even this advice!

If I were you I would just layoff the sugar a few hours before your appt as well as the carbs. Maybe try eating a lunch or breakfast high in protein? You can develop gd around 32 weeks or so because I know a few people that had but it was controlled by diet. Just because you have it with one pg does not mean you won't have it with the next.
