That was my grandfather's name, so I always associate it with an older man. It's not horrible, but might be kind of rough for a younger boy to grow up with.

Clyde seems very stilted and halting; it also reminds me of horses.

Clyde is nms at all. I just think horse. I can't imagine a little boy with this name.

Yeah, Clyde makes me think horse or dog. It's also a dogs name in my book. I would NEVER name my child Clyde.
however, if there is meaning to the name, I do like the idea of Isaac Clyde.
