Boy name thoughts

for Clyde...

middle name would be Isaac

How does it flow?

First impressions?

Also, there is a popular restaurant by the same name, its a great restaurant, but we wouldnt want the child to be associated with it, would you still use it?

Re: Boy name thoughts

  • Sorry, I don't like it for a first name, it's a last name where I come from. I like Isaac though.

  • Not a fan. Especially with the restaurant association nearby.

Clyde seems very stilted and halting; it also reminds me of horses.

  • Not a fan either. Isaac is a nice name though.

  • That was my grandfather's name, so I always associate it with an older man.  It's not horrible, but might be kind of rough for a younger boy to grow up with.

Isaac Clyde sounds nice.  Have you considered flipping them?

  • I don't care for the name Clyde, I like Isaac
  • Clyde is nms at all. I just think horse. I can't imagine a little boy with this name.

    I love Isaac!

  • Yeah, Clyde makes me think horse or dog.  It's also a dogs name in my book.  I would NEVER name my child Clyde.

however, if there is meaning to the name, I do like the idea of Isaac Clyde.
