How long before u conceived ur LO?

We were trying for abt 6 mths before i became pregnant with our LO.

At that time it seems like it was taking forever as ppl ard us conceived in just a mth or 2 after trying and there was constant pressure frm those ard who knew we were tryin.

But,looking back,it wasnt too long after ttc that we conceived and im happy that i did get pregnant sooner.

So,just curious on how long evryone took before thy found the positive result and wats the standard period of time?

With DS, it took 3 years of trying before we got pregnant, and we found out on the day I was set to start fertility drugs. We had been undergoing testing for a year by then.

With this LO, it was honestly an "Oops"... Something which we NEVER thought would happen to us, and we are SO excited it did! We weren't quite ready to try again, but I guess someone had other plans, LOL.

I was pregnant within a few weeks... miscarried the first then pregnanat again before I even had a period. I'm definately going to be reseraching some kind of birth control after LO is born

Finished up last pack of BC in may, married in June, started trying in August, BFP in October. We got lucky.

DS#1 was not planned, although it made sense. DH had just gotten back from deployment and we weren't using any protection and BAM - pregnant.

With this one, we tried like heck the first month and it didn't happen. We did not try the 2nd month. We did it ONCE the 3rd month and BAM - pregnant. So it took us 2 months over a 3 month period, I guess.

It took us one cycle... and we really didn't 'hardcore' track my ovulation days, just went with a general idea based on my normal cycle length. We were shocked when we figured out it worked the first time around!

DD was right way but I had secondary IF due to scarring from an ovarian tumor I had removed when I had DD. It took a total of 2.5 years and a successful IVF to conceive this baby!

Married/trying in April '08, fertility testing in January - February '09, 1st round of IVF starting in April '09, m/c of only viable embryo June '09, 2nd round of IVF starting August '09, BFP early October '09 - so it was a very involved year + 1/2 of trying!

It took us 6 months with the help of fertility meds (that was an interesting ride....) due to PCOS.

It took us 15 months. We tried on our own for 8 months and then started doing IUIs. We got PG on our third IUI and then had a m/c. Then my RE kept screwing up the timing of our IUIs, so we had three more cycles on our own that failed, and then finally got the timing right for our 4th IUI and got PG again. Those months between the 3rd and 4th IUIs were awful and I was so depressed about that I started seeing a counselor. But, going through that experience has made it much easier to deal with PG woes!

22 months....Dr's had just told us to save up for IVF because nothing else had worked. We stopped all treatments and got pregnant the next month by ourselves!

We had tried for 5 years. The first couple of years we were at the point where if it happens great if not it is not meant to be right now. After 2 years with that mind set we started to talk with Dr and get testing. We were on our 4th and last round of clomid when we got the positive test! We were in shock because we were about to give up and actually bought a puppy 2 weeks before the positive test! 6 months is still a long time to try so I am glad it happened for you fairly soon!

It was our 2nd cycle trying. I think we were very lucky. I was expecting it to take a while because I had cancer treatment and didn't really know if it affected my fertility. But I always said (for the last few years anyway) that I would have a June 2010 baby.

I went off BCP in November 08 when I had to start taking antibiotics (didn't see the point taking BCP when they wouldn't work anyway), so we just used extra protection til we were ready to start trying.

We first went without ANY protection in August 09 and found out we were pregnant in September 09... but I think it was 2 cycles worth of trying.

It took us 2 1/2 years. We'd undergone testing, 3 clomid cycles, 3 IUI's, and conceived on our first IVF. It sucked to go through it, REALLY sucked, but I feel so blessed to be where we are.

With DD #1, it was our fourth month off BC. With this one, we wanted another one soon after DD, but because of breast feeding, did not think we would get pregnant until after I weaned. It was a shock that I was pregnant, although a good shock.

Went off BC on our 1st wedding anniversary April 5, 2009. BFP October 22, 2009. Didn't really want a summer baby, but it could be worse! Next time we will only be having unprotected sex March-September 2011. (Yes, I'm a freak, you don't need to tell me!)

When me and my hubby had been married for a year we decided for me to stop taking birth control and just let it happen when it happened, well apparently that's the right approach to doing it because one month later we found out that we were pregnant. I wasd shocked, knowing it could take a while since we weren't looking at ovulation charts or anything.

We were married for almost a year before we started TTC. We found out we were pregnant exactly 1 week after our 1st anniversary. It took 3 months total.

With #2 it only took 1 month.

3 weeks... it was the first ovulation after going off BC. Definitely will be needing some good BC right after LO is born!

With DD it took 16 months and finally IVF. Then we had a m/c about 9 months after we stopped preventing #2. Then 5 months later did an FET cycle and m/c that one. Then got pregnant on our own 9 months later. So total of 25 months for #2. After our M/C from the FET we had just given up so weren't really trying though.

I stopped taking bc in August to get "regular." September was the first month we tried using charting, etc and I got my BFP on the second cycle. I felt super lucky. I thought it would take at least 6 months.

And as far as marriage, we celebrated our 3yr anniversary and found out BFP a week later :-)

Over a year. We started trying in May 08, and had our first BFP in March 09 (and I used a CBEFM for the entire time, and started charting in Jan. 09)

That ended in a m/c, and I got pg again in Aug 09 (also using CBEFM and charting. And I had an HSG in June, which I really think helped things out).

It's been a rough road (though I know many have had worse!) and we are so excited to meet out little girl soon!

Came off of BCP in May, found out I was pregnant in September.

Those 4 months felt like an eternity, but looking back I know we were blessed and it happened fairly quickly.

I got my IUD out on Oct. 15th, had my period 1.5 weeks later, right after that period I got pregnant. So a few weeks. I also charted.
