Have you heard this name before? I think I know how to pronounce it but was wondering what yall thought. I was tying to find names that could pass as a female version of James. I was thinking this could maybe work for a middle name.
We were thinking of somehow using his brothers names for middle names (they passed away from a house fire when they were kids) There names were Scott and James. I like the name Scott for a middle name for a boy, which is why I was trying to come up with something for James...

I do like Jamie, it just didn't flow very well with the first names that we like.
Sounds made up.

Thats what I thought when I saw it, but I found it in the baby names on here
I've never heard of it, and am not a fan (sorry). I think if you want to honor James, Jamie might be a good option, maybe even Jemma (although I do prefer it spelled Gemma).

This! My friend is has James for her middle name, and it flows nicely. I always thought she was cool just based on that.
ETA: I just did a google search for Jamessa, and the first two things to come up were MySpace profiles. I don't think that's promising.

I like the suggestion above of going with the name Jemma.. it's better than Jamessa IMO. Or you could go with James or Jemma as a middle name.
My grandma's name is Jessima, that's kind of similar. I thought that's what you originally titled this post when I glanced at it.
This! Or What about Jemma? Kinda the same as James??

Honestly, Jamessa is not good....
I went to school with a girl named Jama (pronounced Jay-ma), and sometimes ppl called her "James" as a nn. She was very popular and pretty - maybe that woud be a good variation?
I like the name Jayma. Jayma Mays is an actress on Glee.
