Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Eating oatmeal 2 hours before bed, and gets her bottle.. suddenly up 3 hours later??

THis didnt happen until we started food and had luck 2 days ago..

Before DD would eat solids, she had a bottle about an hour before she went to bed.. and would sleep until 4ish to eat.. then back to bed.

Now.. we give her solids (have tried different ones) about 2 hours before bed.. still do her normal bottle which she takes.. but now.. when she goes down at 7/8.. she wakes up at 11.. we have resorted to feeding her a 6 ounce bottle.. because that is the only way to calm her down..

Anyone have any idea of what is going on? This didn't happen until now..

  • I don't but my suggestion (if you haven't already tried it) is to give her solids in the AM. We give DD her "food" around 11am or so and haven't noticed any issues.

  • Maybe what you gave her upset her tummy?  I honestly don't know, but we have been giving DD oatmeal about 45 mins before her last bottle and she has slept great.  One night we gave her mashed avocado and she woke up a couple times so we thought maybe it made her tummy hurt..

  • Its so weird.. she has had oatmeal befor during the day and it doesnt seem to bother her.. I think I might do oatmeal in the morning, a veggie during lunch.. and then some fruit at night..

I am trying to do 2-3 meals of solids a day.. which for her.. is about 1/4 cup of food each meal.. too much perhaps?
