What foods can you eat with your morning sickness?

I have found that all I can eat lately are apples, bananas and saltines.  Any one else want to share what they could keep down or food that makes them feel better?  I'm grasping at straws here, I have literally consisted off of these three foods for a few weeks now and don't know how much longer I can take it!!!  Ick!

Re: What foods can you eat with your morning sickness?

  • Most any fruits and veggies, but not lettuce.  It's grossing me out.  Also cheese and carbs seem to suit me well.

  • Thankfully I seem to be passed that stage, but I when I had really bad m/s I lived on saltines, Nilla Wafers and popcorn.

  • for the last 6 weeks or so, I've had toast with cinnamon spread almost every single day for breakfast.  It's starting to wear a little thin at this point, but it sat better than anything else.  Also scrambled egg sandwiches are good.  And milk.

  • I would eat a BLT for breakfast every day, week 6 through 9, and it always made me feel better. When I get the occasional queasies now, I eat an apple and it works wonders. Gala apples ... a nice mix between sweet and tart :-)
  • Some foods are ok some days then bad the next.  But baked potatoes seem to be ok for the most part and chicken nuggets (from wendy's only Stick out tongue).
  • MrsSeli - what kind of Cinnamon Spread?  That sounds good.

I have also been eating dry toast.  I'm really looking for something that I can eat that won't make me sick.  I will try the chicken nuggets!  I catch the train every morning by a breakfast place and smell bacon every morning, I'm still not sure if it makes me feel sick or if I want it yet!  haha.

  • My m/s was terrible and lasted all day and into the night.  At points I had no idea which foods would stay down and which wouldn't but I had decent luck with bagels and peanut butter, portuguese rolls, and slices of cheese.

  • Mashed potatoes, applesauce and soup have been good for me.  Sometimes the crackers, toast, etc. seem too dry and too much to chew to get down.

  • Mac and cheese, pizza, cheese quesadillas... pretty much any cheese bread combination is fine by me.

  • It changes almost daily for me, but fruit, especially citrus, seems to work.  I can also tolerate carbs of some sort like mac and cheese (the powder kind), plain white sticky rice or potatoes.

  • Tomatoes!  As long as I can remember, tomatoes are all I crave when I have the flu or a cold.  My fiance always cuts them up by the bowl full for me when I'm sick, especially now that I have m/s.
