I want to get her some sort of keepsake or something to honor her becoming a big sister. I'm thinking something like a jewelry box with an engraving on it...does that sound good? What would I put on it though? I'd love to have a little poem or saying or something...any ideas? It doesn't have to be a box, I was just thinking she'd be able to use that her whole life, you know. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!!
Re: Okay, I need ideas. I want to get something special for K
That is such a sweet idea, star!
My aunt got my cousin a charm bracelet when she became a big sister. And my grandfather got my grandmother a charm bracelet when she first became a grandmother. For each grandchild he got her a little circular charm with what she wished for each of us engraved on it.
The idea of a charm bracelet or necklace seems really nice to me.
What a neat idea!
I like the idea of a bracelet or necklace as well. Something that can grow with her, so probably a small chain for now with a charm that can be moved to a larger chain as she grows.
I think a bracelet is a GREAT idea ----that way she can show it off wherever she goes (a jewelry box she really can't)--however, I like the box idea for maybe when she's a little older (even like 5 or so) and it can be a "just because you're an awesome big sis gift"--ya know??

Notes:
She actually refers to herself as "baby K". And trust me, Kadence is NOTHING compared to the name my mom gave me, and I still lurve her.
my angel babies: 6/10 (chem. pg), 9/10 @ 10 weeks
Are you serious? Kadence is a cute name.
