My friends and I were talking about this the other night and they were SHOCKED to find out that my husband leaves the room to fart when he's around me. I never really thought twice about it, but apparently most of their husbands just let it rip whenever.
I don't really care if he does fart in front of me, but he just goes to another room out of courtesy for me so I don't have to smell it.
Are we weird???
P.S. We've been married for 2.5 years so it's not like we're still newlyweds!

I've only ever heard DH fart in the bathroom.

LMAO! Me too but for MH well lets put it this way. In our 2nd week of dating he was driving and let out a loud stinky one. Than he closed all the window and locked them on me...

All. The. Time. Sometimes wakes me up in the middle of the night, too. To make matters worse, he tends to giggle after he does it.

Baby B's heart stop beating at 9 weeks 5 days
Our little miracle baby is a boy.
Baby Boy Owen and Baby Girl Avery were born too early on Feb. 13, 2011 due to a pedunculated fibroid, incompetent cervix and suspected placental abruption.

Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
We fart in front of eachother and have a can of febreeze on every level of the house because his can get stinky. But we also say excuse me, after every one. I trained him on this because sometimes they are silent but deadly and I just like the warning.
I remember this being a pole a few months back and he was surprised at how many couples (about half when this was done in like November?) and we had fun trying to figure out which couple friends of ours were the "no farting aloud type".

We have taken many a long car ride (thanks to moving across the country for the Army) and yes, he has farted in the car before. But I guess I find that different since there's nowhere for him to go so you can't really help it.
My point is, if there's an option to go to another room and fart, he will. If not, then NBD.

Ditto... although to be fair MH has IBS and is in there for ages at a time. We repainted our room and attached bathroom... painted the bathroom door and still haven't hung it back up (it's been 2 months)... I suppose that truly shows how comfortable we are with each other lol
I'm j/k, (if I sound snarky it's just cause I have a headache, totally unintentional) but seriously I wish my H would do that. Today as he was walking out of the living room he stopped, bent over, turned and looked at me and farted. ::sigh::
I'm sorry you have a headache! I didn't take it as snarky at all so no worries! And LOL at your husband bending over and farting.

My DH has been farting in front of me since we met! He was brought up in a house where that was acceptable. I, on the other hand, was brought up in a house where you didn't leave the room to fart; you just didn't fart! We weren't allowed!

whaaa, for reals?? What was the punishment for letting one rip?
We both fart in front of eachother.. and pee/poo. We're just super comfortable around eachother I guess.

Ha! This. He saw me poop the table while having DS so farting is nothing.
Unexplained secondary infertility...bleh. Gave it a few more tries and BFP on 3/31

this. I grew up with brothers and father who always farted in front of me. I don't think I've ever heard DH fart (outside of the bathroom!) I try not to, but I know I do all night long -- lol.
