Sleeping in car seat

Does anyone else's LO sleep in their carseat? My pedi recommended it when LO was congested when she was about 3 weeks old, and she has been sleeping there at night since.  In fact, she takes naps in it, too, and won't take naps anywhere else.  I can swaddle her and put her in her carseat at night, and she will sleep 7-9 hrs at 7 wks old (she has actually done this for several weeks, though). I think it's a combination of her being upright and feeling snug.

Anyone else?  I hope she grows out of it, though. I want her to sleep in her crib eventually!  :)

    My DD did up until about 8 weeks old.  I would put the car seat in the crib just so she got used to the environment.  We didn't really do anything to transition to the crib, I just decided to be done with the car seat and she slept fine ever since.

    My nearly two week old won't sleep flat on his back, either with or without a swaddle. But he'll sleep in the carseat just fine! It sits in between us in bed right now, down at our feet.

    Hoping this stage ends quickly! So far I've only been able to get him to stay in the crib sleeping for about 15 minutes before he startles and wakes himself up. ;)

    Yes! In fact I posted about this earlier today. We're trying to get him to sleep in the crib but have failed so far. He starts crying after 10 minutes. But, he sleeps great in the car seat...
