Manhattan and Brooklyn Shopping

I am going shopping with my mother and grandmothers for Layette clothing tomorrow.  Although we are all native New Yorkers it has been a while since any of them shopped for a baby so any suggestions of nice shops would be greatly appreciated.

    Lesters has really nice stuff but they are expensive. They are located in Brooklyn & Manhattan.

    In Carroll Gardens area (Brooklyn)...there are so many cute baby boutiqes on Smith Street! I love it there.

    I saw a great shop on 86th between 2nd & 3rd last year.  They sell gear, furniture. Sorry, dont know the name. But if youre in the area...
