Babies: 3 - 6 Months

did you "know" you were having a girl or a boy?

Dh and i keep talking about whether we will try for 1 more or 2 more and i just have a feeling that we will have another girl when we try for #2....i can't describe why i feel that way, i just do.....

i knew DD was going to be a girl.....the same weekend i POAS and got my BFP i had a dream that she was a girl and i just felt it until it was confirmed with the ultrasound.....did anyone else "know" or just sense what they were having?

  • I always thought she was a girl but I tried to stay optimistic until we had the u/s.

  • I had a gut feeling since I first found out I was pregnant that I was having a boy.  We were on team green, too, but there was never a doubt in my mind that I was having a boy.

  • I thought she was a boy, hands down.
  • I knew he was a boy the whole time. DH's family literally does NOT have any girls born into the family, its all boys!

  • Nope, I had no clue until the day he was born. Since there are only 2 options, you have a 50/50 chance of "knowing" Wink

  • The minute I POAS I was POSTIVE - not a single ounce of doubt in my body that it was girl. We we're Team Green & when DS was born I was beyond excited!!!!!!! I had bought alot of girl stuff (not TOO much!) but he had a pink changing table cover, pink clothes, etc. Needless to say everyone went out & bought boy stuff.

I almost feel like I was setting myself up because I really wanted a boy first. Don't get me wrong....I would of been SUPER happy with a girl.....but I wanted my daughters to have an older brother = )

  • I knew I was having a boy from day 1, I don't know why.  I feel like I will have a girl next (maybe wishful thinking since I am not pregnant)
  • I just "knew" I was having a girl.  I've never had a preference for boy v. girl, but the second I got the BFP, the pronoun "she" kept popping in my head.  We were team green till the end, and when my DS was born and the doctor said "it's a boy" I wanted to ask "are you sure??"...that's how convinced I was that I was having a girl!!  That being said, I was not dissapointed at all that we had a boy, and now I can't imagine having a girl! Smile
  • I, and my whole family, just KNEW it was a girl.  I would have bet my life on it.  He's a boy.  So, I don't put a lot of stake in gut feelings Smile
Just an absolute casserole of nonsense.
CDH, born 10/26/09.... now I see a family, where there once was none.

  • Dh and I both thought we were having a girl the moment we found out we were pregnant.  Dh's dad convinced us that his side of the family ONLY makes baby girls and a lot of people thought I was having a boy based on the way I was carrying and whatnot.  We were team green so it was a shocker to everyone but us really when dd came out haha

  • I kept having a feeling it was a boy. And now that we are thinking of #2 I keep catching myself thinking "she" when I am thinking about another one. it's not on purpose and I would totally love another boy. We'll see.
  • I totally thought she was a boy!

I made them double check a lot!!

LOL, this was totally us.  When we did the ultrasound and they said, "It's a girl."  I asked if they were sure.  We were so sure we were having a boy.

  • I was completely sure that it was a boy--to the point that I was only looking at boy clothes, boy bedding, boy gear. I just knew.

  • DH and I both thought we were having a girl before our big u/s, and we were right!
  • I "knew" about 3 weeks before the U/S and I was positive I was having a boy. I was right and DH was very happy I was.
  • I knew I was PG at 4 weeks... and people found out by the time I was 6 - 8 weeks... so I always got "what are you having?"... even before the ultrasound, I was saying "Girl." Some of my coworkers were saying "no, no, you're going to have a boy!" and I was like "No, it's a girl." Then I found out with the ultrasound, and people were still trying to tell me that it could be wrong... but I knew it was a girl.

This.  I was shocked at the 20-week u/s.  I would have been happy either way, I just had a feeling it was a boy.

  • We had been TTC for 8 months before getting a BFP. And its weird because all the other months I never had the urge to want to POAS. But the month that it was a BFP I started POAS early like 9 DPO, didn't get the BFP til 11DPO. I just knew it was the month.

Then after we got the BFP I called my mom to tell her the news and then told her I thought it was a boy. I don't know why. Thats the only time I said I thought it was a boy to anyone.

My mom only has grandsons and my husband wanted a girl so when people would ask. I would say we are hoping for a girl. I could never bring myself to say I think its a girl. Because deep down I knew it was a boy.

Now I'm so happy to have a little boy! I can't imagine it any other way. I only hoped for a girl to please everyone else. I always wanted a boy first :)

So now for the next one I have a feeling its going to be another boy. But I guess the gut feelings probably don't work so well if I'm not pregnant yet, so we'll see.

  • I just knew I was having a boy but as you can see I have a beautiful DD! I was in total shock at our ultrasound when they said girl and had several more (for growth reasons) and asked them to check it out at each one because I just couldn't believe it! HA!
