Sticker Shock

I made a list of the things that we MUST get before LO arrives.  I put general prices to everything and then added it all up.  Let's just say that all of the little things really add up!  We are looking at spending another $600-$700 ish dollars.  Hopefully we will get stuff that we need from the next shower...

Oh and I will not be sharing the dollar amount with my DH, he would have a hernia!

    For all of my big purchases, I've used the 20% coupons from Buy Buy Baby and I've saved a LOT!  I also cheated and signed up with three different email addresses and three different names to get triple the coupons.  :)

    Don't forget to take bed bath and beyond coupons with you too! Sign up with as many different websites, formula companies, and anything baby related. The target registry has a welcome bag with coupons in it too. Even if you don't want to register there you can create a registry just to get the bag. Good luck!!

    Oh another option if you have a flex spending account with your work. You can use that to pay for medicine, thermometers and maybe a humidifier.

    I did this a few weeks ago... same thing but our total was around $1000... yikes! I too am hoping and praying for items we need for our shower!  I did however share the number with SO and he did have a hernia... but quickly got over it when I reminded him why we needed the money - for our beautiful little girl of course!  :)

    I did the same thing when having DD :) I ended up paring down my need list more and then I even ranked some of the items so I knew which I'd buy first and which could maybe wait bit later (even after DD came). I also exchanged lots of clothes from my shower for store credit and made sure our need list was satisfied.
