Hi everyone,
I got off bcp in Jan and March is my first cycle TTC. I've purchased a Clear Blue monitor to help identifying ovulation day, and I started testing on day 6 of my cycle as per instruction. But today it's day 13 and still shows 'low'. I know this happens when women have really long cycles, but the two cyles after bcp has been 30 and 32.
My question is how many days does it usually show Medium before showing Peak? I know I just got off BCP so things might be wacky, but just want to be sure that I am ovulating....thanks.
ETA: can anyone tell me how I can fix my siggy? Where do I get the correct url for my chart? Another member helped me before but I guess I didnt do it correctly....
Re: Clear Blue question:
First off your chart isn't properly linking.?
Your monitor can't tell you if you've O'd, only your chart can tell you that.
You monitor will usually show a "High" when it detects a surge in estrogen and a "Peak" when it detects LH. It is possible you aren't anywhere near O just yet or also possible you're having an anovulatory cycle.
The monitor can go from low to peak or give you two days of high and two days of peak and any other combo of days depending on your cycle. I will say once it hits peak, it'll show peak for 2 days.
Day 13 is still early, especially if your cycles are 30-32 days.
Hang in there.?
ETA: It can take months, up to a year for some women's cycles to regulate after coming off BCP. Give it a little time. GL!?

My cycles have been between 26 and 30 days long and I ovulate between days 15 - 18. On the cycles I have used the CBEFM I started getting highs around CD 10/11 and didn't get a peak until the day before ovulation. I don't think you should be worrying that you haven't gotten a high reading yet. It is still early. Plus, it is likely you won't get a peak during your first couple of cycles as the CBEFM is still trying to learn you.
Best of luck to you.
