2nd Trimester

What have you accomplished so far?

I have both registries done, shower scheduled for April, invites are in progress, ordered and received our crib and mattress, DH painted a vintage dresser my mom had for Baby Love, my mom has started working on the nursery bedding (to include curtains, diaper stacker and some decor) and I have already bought a fair amount of clothes.  I am happy because I feel like we have accomplished a lot!  Not sure if we are going to paint the room, it is a tan color now and we may just leave it.  Where is everyone else at?

  • Jealous!!! I haven't gotten anything done yet.  I am using the excuse that we haven't found out if it's a boy or girl yet, but we are trying to go gender neutral with the nursery stuff for when we have more kids.  I'll have to get my butt into gear!!!
  • Absolutely nothing! We were waiting to find out gender. Now that we know, we're starting to think about names. We'll have to buckle down one weekend and clean out all of DD's princess clothes which don't fit anymore and make room for blue baby stuff. I suppose we still have some time yet before we have to start on the registry.
  • Hmm....  One registry nearly done, bought the crib, bought the paint and decided on a theme.  That's about it.  Lots of time.
  • I have accomplished gaining 12 pounds, that's about it. :)
  • I am an anal retentive psycho planner!  We found out the sex a month ago and I have been a maniac since  :o)
  • We've got the nursery painted and all furniture and crib set up.  Both registries just about complete.  Shower scheduled for May.  Still need to get a glider, rug and window treatments for the nursery, but other than that, I think we're ready!

    Tee hee!  I am at 15  :)

  • nursery:  painted, furniture in place and dressed, yeah it's pretty much done

my mom brought our going home outfit over!

Shower lists of invites have been given to the hostesses.

I still need to wash baby everything, paint the curtain rods, guess I'm doing okay!

  • Nothing :) And I feel content about it. But I'm also pretty early compared to y'all...
  • absolutely nothing.
  • Holy crap!  i've done nothing. We were in Hawaii for the past 2 weeks, so this weekend we're going to start to tackle the 2nd bedroom, throw out and sell whats not needed to make room for baby stuff. that is a big job in itself
  • My registries are done, we have a bunch of clothes and gear already (hand me downs) and we don't need to set up a nursery, because we are moving at the end of the summer, so baby will get a nursery in the new house in September.

  • I'm pretty crazy about planning too, but we only think we know the gender and won't be sure (hopefully) until next monday, so I can only do so much!

Our nursery was already painted green before when it was an office but it's a pretty light green so we're keeping it.  I bought abou 20 outfits (some gender neutral like ducks and frogs) but the rest for a girl (I kept the receipts of course).  I have also purchased a few paintings for the nursery, we're doing an animal theme so it works for boy or girl, and I'm helping my mom find good baby shower locations in the city.  Oh and I'm almost done with my registries!  And I'm now drinking V8 drinks since I don't think i'm getting enough veggies ;)

  • Um I couldn't read all that because it just made me feel way behind.

  • Um.... I have finally made decisions on everything.... does that count?!?!
  • We've got the nursery done except for an area rug, glider and dresser.  Walls are painted, crib is up and bedding is "installed", etc.  We've picked a shower date but haven't done any actual planning.  Registries are "done", but I change them on a daily basis. Smile

  • We have our registries finished. My shower is scheduled at the end of April. We bought our crib, mattress and changing table, some clothes (okay, a lot of clothes. eeps) and have bought a few other items (the bouncer, pnp, swing, etc.) Nursery isn't started at all (sister and nephews live with us, though they are moving out soon).

    I think that's about it!

  • Well, we decided on a name, DH set up the nursery furniture, we aren't painting (we recently moved into our house and the room we are using for our LO's nursery was where their LO's nursery was and we found bedding to match the paint on the walls). I washed all of the clothes given to us my my sister for LO newborn - 12 months...there was A LOT. We don't need ANY clothes. I put them away.
  • I don't have as much to do this time around but I've gone through and organized all of DS's clothes that will be handed down to LO and bought a few smaller things here and there.  Still need to paint the room, get more furniture and buy some other neccesities.
  • The nursery is painted and carpeted as well as our room since she'll be sleeping in there the first few months. Ordered the crib and dresser at 20 weeks and just put it together and set it up in there last night! Ordered a rocking chair we haven't recieved yet and am recieving our bassinet/play pen from my MIL tonight.  We've bought/recieved a bunch of clothes in various sizes. We've put up the window valances and wall art and just need to put the closet together. We've even got some toys and such ready too!  My sister in law and sister have sent invites for my shower in April and reserved a hall for that and are preparing everything already.

Still a bit of work to do in setting things up, but little by little we're getting the nursery almost there. My thought was that I didn't want to be rushing in the last couple months to get everything finished!

This.  Aside from the basics like routine exams, picking a name, ultrasounds, etc. we have gotten a lot done.

We completed our registries, painted the nursery, set up our glider, put together our stroller, bought a ton of clothes, a co-sleeper, and our Ergo carrier.  We also picked up some little things as we saw them on sale, such as bottles, swaddling blankets, etc.  Our crib and dresser have been ordered, we are just waiting for them to come in.  We have picked out a wall decal/mural, but are going to order it closer to when our furniture is set to arrive.

The shower date is set for May and the hostesses were already given an invite list.  As far as I know, the invitations have been ordered and will be going out later this month.

I picked out his going home outfit - I just need to sit down and olace the order.

Just this past weekend we took a prenatal partner yoga workshop and the week before that we took our baptism prep class.  We have also signed up for classes on cloth diapering and preparing our pets for LO's arrival.  I have picked the other classes that I want to take, such as breastfeeding and labor and delivery, but we are holding off for another week or so to register because this month is pretty busy.

DH and I are also reading a book on Hypnobirthing and The Happiest Baby on the Block.

DH is working on home improvement projects that I want to have finished before LO arrives.

    Bought our BOB stroller.
