What do you think of Cannan?

Yesterday on Say Yes to the Dress the groom's name was Cannan, pronounced Cane-en. What do you think of the name? I don't know if I love it or hate it.

I feel like it would would be mispronounced all.the.time as Cannon.

It's NMS, but they should at least spell it correctly. It should be Caanan.

I thought of the Camera company first thing when I saw it, so deffinitly spell it right. Not sure if it makes me like it any better though

I know someone with this name, not a bad name. But the spelling does throw me off. I always thought it should be spelled differently, maybe Cainan?

I definitely thought it was pronounced Cannon when I read the topic. I don't think you could spell it in a way that people would know it's Cane-en. I don't like it because of that.

It makes me think of New Canaan, Connecticut.

Which is a very affluent suburb where many Wall Street types live.

So, it makes me think of an uptight finance person...not a baby.

Ditto, except it's really not a mispronunciation. It's the proper way to spell that collection of letters they jumbled together.

Canaan is how you get Cane-in.
