So I had my follicles checked by u/s on Wednesday and Sunday.
On Wed. I had a 12 mm follicle and when they checked again on Sunday it was gone. This round I was on 150 mg. of Clomephine and got no good follicles. Last round I was on 100 mg. and got 2 nice sized follicles (21 and 23 mm).
Does this mean I ovulated? If not, where did that follicle go? I was suppose to schedule an IUI this week but I guess that is out of the question.
Also I was given Provera to induce period ? If we had intercourse over the weekend is there any chance I could be pregnant. Do I need to take the provera or can I just wait for my next period to come naturally?
* I tried calling my doctor's office but they already left for the day * I just wanted to get some advice before I call again tomorrow.
Re: follicle size question
I have heard of follies shrinking between appointments so it is possible. A 12 on Wednesday would not have been mature until maybe Friday or Saturday but I would think they could tell if you had ovulated on your Sunday u/s - they should have been able to see the corpus luteum cyst the follicle would have turned into.
Sometimes people have different responses to Clomid cycle to cycle. sorry you may have to cancel your IUI! Do you have a follow up appointment scheduled?
Sorry, I'd wait for your Dr to answer these questions but I'll do my best for now.
I would expect to get a progesterone test to find out if you O'd or not. A folllie grows 2mm a day on average, I'm surprised they did an u/s Wed and then Sun and nothing in between. I would be nervous to take the provera without knowing for sure if you ovulated or not. It's not out of the question that sex over the weekend could have worked. I wouldn't take the provera without confirming wih your Dr.
