Positive test 12 days before missed period

I actually knew I was pregnant 17 days before my missed period due to spotting. I made myself wait the 5 days before I started taking pregnancy tests. The first one I took at 12 days before my missed period was positive. Just to make sure I took another 2 days later because I couldn't really believe it after 9 months of TTC.

I used the First response early pregnancy test.

Has anyone else had their test show early? My doctor asked me twice if I knew for sure I was pregnant when scheduling my first appointment!

Unless you have a 22 day LP, you didn't test 12 days before your missed period, genius.

Um, sweetpea, hate to break it to you, but luteal phases usually ARE 12 days. If you ovulated on the 2nd, (unless you have a major luteal phase defect, which you don't or you probably wouldn't be pregnant) your period would be due to start around the 14th-16th. you tested right on time. I'd recommend reading some books on fertility and definitely some books on pregnancy and raising children, seems like you might need them! Good luck!

Between 28-32 days. Look I didn't ask for people to rag on me. All I was looking for was someone who was in the same boat as me. Sorry to bother people with my obviously foolish post I guess.

Yep I did just as early. But I just had an ultrasound Friday and come to find out I actually got pregnant the previous month. I had a 7 day "period" and everything.

This happened to me I had sore boobs and felt a little sick in the am decided to test 10 days befor missed period and two test came up pregnant my dr. could not believe it and had an ultrasound to confirm dates and eveything was right on track.I guess we were lcky to find out that early!

So you tested positive 10 DPO. That's not unusual at all.

Yeah my last pregnancy I got a positive on both the digital and FRER at 9dp. it's not uncommon, just means the baby implanted earlier.?

You're giving me a headache.

If your cycle is between 28-32 days...then your period for February was due between the 20th and 24th. You do understand that cycle day 1 is the FIRST day of your period, which would have been Jan. 24th, k?

So, if you got a positive on the 12th, you didn't test 17 days early, my dear. You only tested 8 - 12 days before your period was due...which still isn't early. Because according to YOUR calculations, you ovulated on CD 9, so you still tested 10dpo, which is when a lot of girls get a positive pregnancy test.

Charlotte congrats. Don't listen to them b/c they THINK they know everything about everyone else's periods. You said you KNEW before your missed period and that's just you knowing your OWN body so you decided to test. Ok no big deal. So your dates were a little off when you posted the post. WGAF?! If you really O'd on the 2nd, then your period would be due around the 12th -14th. You tested on the 12th. You didn't test all that early. Just because your period in January was on the 24th, does NOT mean your period in February would be on the 24th. Especially if you O'd on the 2nd.

or if you really don't believe us and still think you got a positive test 12 days before your period was due, hell, give First Response a call about your miracle. I'm sure they could use a little laugh.

OK, so you were 12 DPO, making it 2 days before your missed period. You just had a short cycle (O'd early), that's all! The amount of time between ovulation and your period is ALWAYS between 10 and 16 days. There's no way you have a 22 day LP.
