Success after IF

What is this pain/ feeling?

So, I am having some pain/ pressure in my vag area.  It kind of feels like it is between my pubic bone and my vag.  It isn't lightening crotch as it isn't coming and going and it more of a dull constant ache.

Is it just growing pains?

I am wearing non maternity jeans today - could they just be a little too tight and causing it?

Thanks!

Re: What is this pain/ feeling?

  • That would happen to me when I wore too tight pants. If I adjusted the pants away from the area it would go away after a short time. Once I started wearing maternity pants, I never felt it again.

  • Your pelvis is probably shifting, and making room for baby. Probably not the jeans, but if they're tight, I'd suggest unbuttoning them whenever possible (for your sake!).

They are already unbuttoned and half way unzipped!!  Probably a mistake to wear them today!

  • Every now and then I tend to get a lot of pressure down there. It feels sore in a way. I think it's just everything shifting and moving that causes it. Okay, I'm pulling stuff out of my butt here. Sorry I wasn't help, but I am right there with you.
  • yeah, I had a lot of that pressure/sore feeling early on. And now I feel it whenever I'm on my feet for more than a few minutes at a time.

Ditto this.  I had it occasionally at first, and now it is almost constant.  I just asked my OB about it on Wed and he said it is totally normal as the baby(ies) put pressure on.

  • I get that a lot when I'm sitting for a long time - some time putting my feet up helps, some times nothing helps.

  • I've gotten pain like this before but it usually only lasts a few hours. Maybe it lasts longer for others? I assumed it was growing pains.

  • I am inpressed that you are still in regular pants. At 9 weeks I was so bloated I was wearing bella bands and into maternity pants at 13 weeks.

This is the only pair I can fit into - and after today I don't really think I can fit into them anymore.  Embarrassed

  • I have got similar pains. I actually had a weird one yday, pulsing pain, not constant. Is yours a constant ache? But I just attribuet them to growing pains, escp if they dont last longer than a day.

Somethings that work for me when this happens is just changing my position ex tilt pelvis forward if sitting, drinking some water or soemtimes even elevating my legs. See if any of these help.

  • i had that a lot around that point...along with shooting pains.  it seemed to be much better when I was laying down, so i think it was just added pressure in that area from my ute...it has gotten better since my ute has moved beyond my pelvic bones...i think it was too squished :)
