S/O becomming protective...

There is a stop sign in front of our house that nobody ever stops at. I've been known to yell bad stuff to these cars as they're speeding off. I probably should stop that before Ada joins me.

What protective thing do you do now that you have LO?

Re: S/O becomming protective...

  • Oh!  I have the same thing.  I live on a dead end, but there is a stop sign 2 houses away.  People heading to the daycare behind my house cut through, talking on cells, speeding, generally not paying much attention, not stopping at the stop sign.  It makes me so mad they think it is OK to speed through a neighborhood full of kids on the way to get their precious angel.
  • Loading the player...
  • I no longer run yellow lights.  In LA, you almost ALWAYS have to bc its so damn trafficky.
  • I drive much slower and wear fewer high heels!
  • Like Mari and Dianna, I'm a much safer driver.

I'm also more assertive about telling my dad to back off when he's smoking. If we  meet up he'll get up and walk away when he lights up, but I'll sniff around the boy's head to see if any stray waft of smoke gets near him and tell Dad to move if it does.

I'd imagine I look a bit like a mama monkey doing that, but whatever.
