Saturday mid-morning I started having this sharp, then dull ache in my way-low back, through my hips and down my legs and it's lasted all wknd and still there now. I haven't slept in 2 nights because of this pain. I called the nurse this morning, she's pretty sure it's sciatic nerve pain. Which sucks, because that means it's probably sticking around until I delivery this baby.
She told me to keep taking Tylenol (i hate taking meds!) and gave me some exercises/stretches to try. I hope it helps, this pain is ridiculous!!! Feels like my back is broke in half.

Yep, I've had it off and on. But mostly off. It flares up occasionally but not often, so hopefully that will be the case with you, too.

crap! Really?? I keep trying hot showers (which I love, but doesn't seem to work much). I was going to try a heat pack next.... does cold work better?

Yeah, I guess! LOL. I'm not sure what I did. But I did use a heating pad when the pain got bad. It didn't really help per se, but I don't think it made it worse, either.
It seemed like the pain would start when we were on airplanes for whatever reason, and then abate a few days after we got wherever we were going. Very strange.

Sorry, I got side tracked....during my PG with DS1, I remember a lot of girls said it helped a lot. I didn't have sciatica, but sitting on one did help take the pressure off my back.
Yeah, it sucks. Mine definitely flares up and then goes away. Exercise really helps relieve it for me.
I'm starting this tonight, I hope it helps quickly.
