another update (short!), and a Femara question

I *just* heard back from the nurse, and I have one question mark and good news times two:

1) She talked to both REs and neither knows how long Femara stays in your system and thus when (if) breastfeeding would be safe again.  I had been thinking it was out by O time.  Anyone know, LOL?

2) She said it's OK to take expired Femara...DD and LO #2 could come from the same bottle. ;)

3) The RE really seems to think that I'm doing OK with just my 2 full hCG shots.  Maybe Femara really isn't necessary.  After all, I didn't take a full two doses either of these last two cycles, yet one of them still managed a blip of a pregnancy.

So, I just don't know.  But I feel a thousand times better about all of this than I did at this time yesterday, in no small part due to help from your therapy. :)

    Oh yay!!  That is great to hear!
    Dx with severe endometriosis. DS#1 conceived with Met and TI. TTC#2 for 2.5 yrs. Dx 2nd IF. 4 clomid cycles, 2 IUIs, Finally IVF#1 w/ICSI worked for us! twins born 35w3d. Unexpected total hysterectomy 6/11. Now on the HRT train.

    Thanks, ladies!  And I should add that she went totally under the assumption that I will be trying this cycle, so no need to take a break from their end. :)

    Since I posted, I've been googling, and I did find one thing that said the half-life of Femara is a bit longer than I've always read in the past, but still by potential implantation.  Crap -- I have to be conservative with this, and it sucks that's even a possibility....

    ETA:  This says it may be even LONGER, but LOL at the source!

    I'm sorry sweety I don't know how long it lasts in your system but I know it cannot be more then 1 cycle because RE told me if I do get pregnant it will be gone by the time the eggy implants. 

    It would be kinda neat if Kira and LO#2 were from same pill pack!

    Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your question.  Maybe you could call your pharmacy and they would be able to help?  It seems as though the doctor should know!

     I conceived my second baby on my second cycle on Femara.  Good luck!!
