DD is just past 2 years and a very good eater.
She loves lolipops and knows where we keep the cookies. How much do you let her have and how much do you limit?
If she asks for 3 lolipop a day, do I give them? Or limit her to 1x a day or only on weekends? Right now we limit.
Re: BLW and toddlers
Definitely limit - kiddo already knows where the animal crackers are so I hide them.
I don't think BLW is about giving kids whatever they want, but rather letting them decide how much they are going to eat of the food you give them. It's still up to us to make healthy choices ;-)

If it were up to my daughter she would eat ravioli, fruit, strawberry milk, cookies, and nothing else. I provide the food, she chooses what to eat. If she is cooperative at the table and makes an effort to eat, then we discuss a post-dinner treat. But we don't routinely keep cookies and cake in our house, so there are plenty of nights that we don't have anything.
The only time she can always ask for something special is for hot chocolate at our neighborhood coffee shop (my DH is kind of a pushover). But on days she has hot chocolate with breakfast/brunch, there is no dessert after dinner.
I try not to be super strict about junk food because I don't want to make it something she never gets and really wants, but I also think that moderation is VERY important.
