Babies: 3 - 6 Months

how long does your 3 month old stay up during the day?

LAST QUESTION I swear! Colin can only go about 1 hour awake and then naps 40 minutes, eats, plays, repeat. When will he start staying up longer periods of time?

Re: how long does your 3 month old stay up during the day?

  • MIne usually go about 1-2 hours. I heard they shouldn't be awake for any longer than 2 hours at this age and I know mine get cranky if they go past 2. He will probably start staying awake longer soon!

  • DD is awake for about 1.25-1.5 hours between naps. Any longer and she gets way cranky and fights the nap.
  • Just enjoy it.   In about a month, she'll want to stay up all day long!
  • We follow the 2 hour wakefullness routine... i.e. he's never awake for longer than 2 hours... sometimes even 1.5. That is what I have read is appropriate for 3-4 months old... any longer and he gets CRANKY!

  • William sleeps a lot and he is awake anywhere between 1-3 hours at a time. Thanks
  • Around 1:15-1 hour and 25 minutes max or she gets super super cranky.

  • That's pretty much DD's schedule. Except today...she hasn't had a nap that lasted more than 20 mins. since 10:15 am. I'm praying she sleeps tonight!
