  • Me too. After 12 weeks, I started going by months.
  • No way. I just say months or months and a half. KWIM?

  • I lost count a while back.  SIL asked me how many weeks old Evie was the other day and it took me a while to stop and do the math.

  • Not here either. I lost track after 13 weeks.

  • I started going by months once she hit 3 months.
  • Since he turned 1 month Ive been going by months. I hate hearing "16 weeks old" ...even worse I hate when I hear 24 months, why cant you just say 2 years?
  • Oh hell no.  I stopped counting by weeks I think around 6wk...8wk tops.  No one is going to want to do the math of 13wk, 17wk, 21wk, etc. in their head.  It is just easier to say 4mos, almost 4.5mos, etc.

  • I don't. And I judge people who say "my baby is 16 weeks, therefore he/she is 4 months."

I do the same thing. ?I so bad want to tell them they are stupid and it does not work that way.?

  • Nope.  I'd have to sit and add the weeks up at this point actually.  I think I stopped around 12 weeks.
  • I have pretty much lost track of the weeks, and i know this is stupid but do you go by the calendar for months or the # of weeks divided by 4? For instance, my son will be 16 weeks on Saturday.  So  is he 4 months, or is he 4 months on his birth date, the 31st? Always wondered how everyone calculated...not that it makes much of a difference!

The other day, I was chatting to a mom at the mall, waiting for the change table, and asked how old her adorably sweet daughter was.

    "18 months."

"So a year and a half, cute."

    "Whatever 18 months is."

     Serious eye roll.

Besides, I lost track ages ago. DS is 4.5 months. Smile

    me too.

  • I still do keep track of the weeks, just because he was born on a Monday and I always think of it as Mondays come... but I will probably stop at 20 weeks or so.

I go by calendar months.  DS2 was born on Oct. 9.  On Feb. 9 he was 4mos old.  On Mar. 9 he will be 5mos old.  And so on and so forth.

  • I lost count WAY back.  I just say he's 3 1/2 months or like now I would say he's almost 4 months old.

I thought the same thing when women on the tri boards said "I'm 40 weeks pregnant so I'm 10 months along." No you're not.

    This. Exactly.

  • I lost track at 12 weeks...Now I round it by months.  So I would say DD is about 4.5 months.

  • Once she turned 2 months I stopped going by weeks. It seemed to just confuse people

  • I lost count after 10 weeks.  I have referred to her in months once she was a month and a half or so.  I also can't stand when some people think that four weeks = a month.

I have a friend who put on FB today that she was 14 weeks pregnant and therefore 3 and a half months...  I was thinking nope, you're due on August 19th and that is exactly six months from now.  You're therefore only 3 months pregnant.

How people think they're preggo for 10 months is beyond me.

I hate this too!  I saw somewhere, a person wrote 30 months! To me, that's like giving someone the price of something in nickels -that costs 32 nickels.

Although when I was pregnant I would sometimes say how far I was in weeks because the whole 10month/40weeks thing was confusing to people.

  • Nope since about 2 months I have called her by months.
  • Not really. Once we got past 12 weeks, I forgot how many weeks we were at so I just go by months now... the ticker helps me remember! *lol*
