I have pretty much lost track of the weeks, and i know this is stupid but do you go by the calendar for months or the # of weeks divided by 4? For instance, my son will be 16 weeks on Saturday. So is he 4 months, or is he 4 months on his birth date, the 31st? Always wondered how everyone calculated...not that it makes much of a difference!
The other day, I was chatting to a mom at the mall, waiting for the change table, and asked how old her adorably sweet daughter was.
"18 months."
"So a year and a half, cute."
"Whatever 18 months is."
Serious eye roll.
Besides, I lost track ages ago. DS is 4.5 months.
me too.
In my bag: Canon 60D, 50mm 1.4, Tamron 28-75 2.8, 430exii
I go by calendar months. DS2 was born on Oct. 9. On Feb. 9 he was 4mos old. On Mar. 9 he will be 5mos old. And so on and so forth.
I lost count WAY back. I just say he's 3 1/2 months or like now I would say he's almost 4 months old.
I thought the same thing when women on the tri boards said "I'm 40 weeks pregnant so I'm 10 months along." No you're not.
This. Exactly.
I lost count after 10 weeks. I have referred to her in months once she was a month and a half or so. I also can't stand when some people think that four weeks = a month.
I have a friend who put on FB today that she was 14 weeks pregnant and therefore 3 and a half months... I was thinking nope, you're due on August 19th and that is exactly six months from now. You're therefore only 3 months pregnant.
How people think they're preggo for 10 months is beyond me.
I hate this too! I saw somewhere, a person wrote 30 months! To me, that's like giving someone the price of something in nickels -that costs 32 nickels.
Although when I was pregnant I would sometimes say how far I was in weeks because the whole 10month/40weeks thing was confusing to people.
