What color is formula?

I know this is a stupid question, but what color should the premixed formula be? I have a couple cases of the premixed formula (Enfamil Premium) from the hospital when she was born. It says they are good until Sept 2010. They look a light brownish color though. Is this right?

I have to start supplementing bc my supply isn't keeping up so I really don't know much about formula (obviously). I just want to make sure this is ok to give her. I know it's not expired, but I thought formula was more white in appearance. TIA!

I did the same thing with premade formula when I first started supplementing. It's kind of discolored.

Yeah the enfamil premixed has a brown tinge and it stains. I prefer the powder bc its white.

Also with the big cans of ready to feed they are lighter than the smaller versions like the nursettes and six oz glass bottles. I find that the smaller the container the browner it is for some reason. It is strange....but I called and it is all ok.
