I just received a call from a good friend about our friend and her little sister. She went in for her 36 wk appointment and the doctor could not find a heartbeat for LO. They sent her for an ultrasound and were unable as well. They then induced her and she gave birth to an 8 pound 1 ounce 20 inch long little boy Taven. He had no knot in his cord or any clear signs as to why he was not breathing with no heartbeat. They are now performing an autopsy to determine cause of death.
I am just so so sad for her and the family. I cannot even imagine the situation. To make matters worse MIL (through her crying in the room) said "my poor sons baby, what did she do to make this happen?" I was completely shocked and appauled that she would say that when it was clearly not her fault!!! I just feel so deeply for her right now. Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers..thanks
Re: T & P for my friend please...(sad)

Throat punch my arse! I'd throw the stupid bytch out the nearest window.
this x a bazillion.
how horrible.
That is so incredibly horrible. What a terrible, terrible nightmare.
And I sure hope someone has a SERIOUS conversation with MIL about how hurtful, horrible, and cruel that comment is. That is the worst possible thing to say to a grieving family.
T & P to the family....
Just wanted to add - I have been through this unfortunately.... lost DD at 34 weeks almost 3 y ago. Therefore i would not be so rush and call MIL names - what she said is all part of the grief process. She also lost a dear grand child, and since she had no control over the pregnancy, the first thought unfortunately is to blame the mother.... I am sure she is simply in shock and does not seriously mean it that way.
I went through many cycles of disbelief, anger, blaming myself, and a lot of other people and random things. It never goes away, but does get more manageable with time.
