Just got this for toy storage... PIP & LIP

We bought 2 of these today and stacked them. DH also bought brackets to attach it to the wall. They don't even wiggle and hold SOOO much stuff. Which is totally necessary because my kid has way too much stuff. I bought the canvas bins that go in them - 8 of them, put them in the open holes, and put larger toys and books on the inbetween ones. The bins were 6.99 ea and the shelves were 50, so all in all it was about $160. DH balked a little at the price, but he saw how much neater her room is and is happy with it. :)

  • Those are so great!  We have a couple in the playroom and we're planning on a smaller one (6 squares) in DS's room.  They are functional but also look great with the bins!

How did you attach them to the wall?

  • I have one that I put in her closet... love it.
  • We have one of these for DS's room and use it as a dresser (his room is tiny!!) and we absolutely LOVE it!
    I like privacy. A lot.

  • We have them too and we love them!! We have them in white.

  • How tall are they? Would the boxes fit the milk crate things?

Each hole is like 12" square. The milk crate things I have are too big. I threw all her 'toys too big for the holes' in those and slid them under the crib.

We didn't get the espresso color. They only had white or the natural (blond?) color so we got that one.

  • We have one too, in the same espresso color.  SO much better than the 12-bin open storage we used to have.

We had that and I hated it. She just took every box and dumped it as soon as I let her down in the morning. I got 2 so that I can stick some of her more easily scattered toys (blocks, little people, etc) where I'm the only one who can reach!

  • we have 2 of the smaller version of this (4 squares) and we LOVE it. we plan to get more. the playroom has a full wall of windows and we plan on lining about 5 of them up under the widows.

they are great for teaching clean up too because its so simple. iz loves putting her toys in the baskets that go in the squares.

  • I have two green units in my sewing room to hold all my finished products. I love them!
  • Another good idea steph! I'm putting that in my trapper keeper for the day I *finally* get a craft room.

What I have right now is 2 bookshelves for my sewing stuff in my bedroom- they're like 6' tall with 5 shelves. They're packed. My sewing machine and serger have taken up permanent residence on the dining room table. And my finished projects are in a rubbermaid bin jammed in my closet. Fun times! Dh wants to put a shed in the backyard and run electricity to it so I can move my crap out there. lol
