Has anyone seen the commercial about the class action suit? It was interesting because they didn't mention any use for breastfeeding. I know that's not the typical use but the ad didn't even suggest this group should be considered.
What's the class action about? I took it and it doubled my supply with no s/e. If there is an issue with it, I think that my BF chances are nil next time around since nothing else worked. Doh
As for the BF'ing thing, I don't think that you can join a class action against a drug company for an off-label/non-FDA approved use. I mean, maybe, but it seems counterintuitive to me.
I LITERALLY just swallowed a reglan for my migraine and then logged on and saw this. Lovely. I will take comfort in that it is about chronic use and not occasional... Ugh
Jacob has been on Reglan 3x a day since August. Great! I'll be calling his pedi GI tomorrow morning to talk about getting him off of it. He hasn't had any of the side effects, but I don't want to risk it.
Eek. Well, maybe I should start taking it again (I have 3 or 4 bottles left) because it's sort of the opposite of a muscular disorder that I have as it is
Seriously, though, this SUCKS. If Reglan gets pulled off the market, I pretty much will never be able to BF again.
I was just lurking from the IF boards and saw this post and thought I would throw in my 2 cents of info.
I had surgery last week and was really sick from the anesthesia and the doc prescribed Reglan. My bottle has a tag on it that says the FDA has issued a black box warning for the Reglan. The pharmacy also included an additional pamplet about side effects because of the black box warning. The additional pamplet says you should not breastfeed while taking Reglan as it is passed through breast milk and could harm your baby.
