My husband and I don't camp often, but I was really hoping to go camping with him and the 2 dogs this spring. Our younger dog is a cold weather wuss, and we haven't ever taken him camping. I'd like to take him before the baby comes, as I think 2 dogs + baby/kid is too much for awhile.
Would you camp if your 2nd tri is during perfect camping weather? Any concerns I should take into mind, besides being near a restroom and probably getting a better mattress? (our normal mat is pretty miserable)

Re: will you be camping during pregnancy?
YES! We have a tiny vintage camper, but it does have 2 beds and A/C!
We're camping in May. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is that there are no facilities. But it's just a weekend, so I think I can make do.
If all goes well, we'll also be camping in my 38th week. Hmmmm...we'll see!
We plan on tent camping this summer. Two kids, 1 dog (unless we pawn her off on my parents) and a pregnant woman ought to make for an interesting trip!
Just check that you know numbers for a local hospital JIC and I can't think of anything extra to keep in mind.
If you're car camping, you should be fine. DH and I like to backpack, but I'll be too big by the time it gets nice enough to go backpacking. I won't be able to carry my pack and the risk of falling is too great, especially in steep/rough terrain. We would definitely go car camping and stay at a camp ground with bathrooms and stuff, though.
Summer of 2011 we'll definitely be taking the LO backpacking with us. He/She will be an experienced outdoorsperson by the time they're 3!
