Our daughter was nearly 3 when we lost our son at exactly 10 weeks to SIDS. It has been the hardest journey I have ever been forced to endure.
Matthew passed away 2 years, 3 months and 2 weeks ago and while life has not gotten "better" we have come to terms with this unfortunate and unfair path we're on. We are all different than before we lost him, not necessarily bad, but definatly different.
There are some REALLY good books, my favorite one was
The SIDS Survival Guide: Information and Comfort for Grieving Family and Friends and Professionals Who Seek to Help Them
We still talk about Matthew often, go to the cemetery every Sunday and keep his spirit alive in our house. We have a memorial garden for him in the backyard, and I have a necklace that I wear everyday with his picture engraved on it. We march for the march of dimes every year and we try to bring as much positive as possible out of his too short life. It is NOT easy and I wish no one ever had to endure this. It just isn't fair
Lean on family and friends. Take time to yourself, expect you and your husband to grieve differently, and it's entirely ok to take medication to help you sleep. That was the hardest for me.
Please, please, please feel free to email me anytime (amazingmillerfamily@yahoo.com)
Lots and lots of thoughts and prayers.

((hugs)) I am so, so very sorry for your loss. My friends nephew passed from SIDS last March, at 10 weeks old. I know that my friend, her sister and the rest of her family are still hurting. Her other nephew who I think was 4 at the time, would ask about his brother. i think they got him a book that kind of explains that his brother is an angel now.
((huge hugs)) You and your family will be in my T&P's

I saw your post, and just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.
I only had one, but I lost her at 4 months to SIDS. I want to tell you that the pain does get easier to deal with. I'm just so sorry you're going through this. ((HUGS))
Oh sweetie, I heard about this from Jaime on the HI board........I am just so, so sorry. I wish I had words to tell you how heartbroken I am for you. I wish there was something I could do. Huge hugs, and please know you're in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so very very sorry for the loss of your sweet little girl. My heart is breaking for you right now...I can't even imagine the pain that your family is experiencing. Good friends of ours lost their little girl earlier this year to SIDS. Its such an awful thing. They were able to find a local support group for parents who had lost children due to SIDS. I will be praying for you and your family.
I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your beautiful baby girl. My heart hurts for you and your family. Please know you're in the thoughts and hearts of many.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I cannot offer any advice except for the words... You have two beautiful reasons to stay strong. My prayers are with you. ((((HUGS))))

I strongly recommend it. Kaitlyn also received a grief kit from friends and family that I think really helped her. https://www.kidscopewithgrief.com/kit-2.html
