So- should I just take her to DC? It doesn't happen all the time- but when I left this morning and he was on the couch (with the covers over his head) and she was in the swing wide awake watching BE.
WWYD? Do I need to put on my Big Girl Panites on and MAKE a big deal. Tell him its not okay. He'll say it doesn't happen. I will be the bad guy. We will fight and not talk for a while.
I don't know how to approach this with him getting defensive and it turing into a huge fight. But if thats what has to happen, thats what has to happen...... I agree its NOT okay- and it has been a thing for a while now.
Thanks for your help ladies. My blood is boiling right now, b/c he won't answer his phone. AHHHHHH
Re: f/u on Dad and LO in the swing....
I would say this:
"Babe, I know you're tired and I've noticed that some days you put DD in the swing and take a nap on the couch. I don't think it's okay for her to be watching tv instead of playing and interacting. If you are really tired in the morning, maybe I could take her to daycare and you can go get her after your nap. Do you have any other ideas?"
Expressing your concern for a situation that makes you uncomfortable should not cause a huge fight as long as you do it respectfully. If it does, then you guys need to seriously work on your communication skills.
I dont know how you do it... I wouldn't be able to walk out the door!
You need to FREAK THE EFF OUT on his a$$!
I'd even get a baby sitter for that talk if you know its going to blow up into a huge fight. (Well, we make a point to not argue or yell in front of Alex, that's why I say that!)
That needs to be solved ASAP.
Great answer. Ditto.
