The nurse from Children's daysurgery called me at lunch time to say that they can not do the surgery b/c of Bailey's pnuemonia. She said the anesthesiologist will not clear Bailey until 6 weeks after his pnuemonia which would be February 22nd. I told her that Bailey is running low grade fevers and his double ear infection is resistant to antibotics. She told me I have to call the ENT to discuss it with him and if he deems the surgery is absolutely necessary then the anesthesiologist will do a complete work up of Bailey (probably x-rays and all) before he'll consent. It's like a double edge sword. I don't want Bailey to be sick like this for antoher month but I also want him to be okay with the anesthesia. If he can't have it until febrauary 22nd, he can't go back to school so dh and I have to figure out a way to work. I'm so tired and can't stop crying! Thanks for listening to me vent.

I'm so sorry things have been so rough for little Bailey and rough on you and DH too
Did they ever try the rocephin antibiotic shot series for the dbl ear infection? I hope they can either get that cleared up or your ENT clears him for surgery before 6 weeks out. (((HUGS)))

Yep, we did those thursday, friday and on monday. Nothing! He's still running low grade fevers and both ears are still infected. That's what sucks!
Oh man! Poor little guy. So sorry
