If you had blood work done on a Wed..when would you get the results?

in 1st Trimester
My dr still hasn't called with my results from last Wed afternoon. I called yesterday & today. They said the dr was reviewing them an hour ago & a nurse would call me back. A week is ridiculous.

    Wow, yes a week is ridiculous!  My doctor's office gets them back the next day.  They don't call me, I have to call them though!

    I get them back the next day! Sometimes same day, if I go early enough. That's crazy.

    I agree that 1 wk is too long. I had work done last Thurs and called on Mon for the results. I would call everyday! LOL

    If I had bloodwork any day we get them back within the day. Usually before my OB's office closes.

    Here is depends on what test it is/where they send the blood.  I had some come back two days later and some took almost two weeks.

    I get mine that night but I am with University Hospital.

    Some offices have a longer turnaround to send the blood out and get it back.

    I get mine back the same day when I get them done at the RE, but when I go to the regular ob/gyn, it's usually 3-4 days.

    Honestly, it all depends on what tests they are running, what lab they are using and the turn around for the lab.

    I worked for an internal med office and sometimes it could take 3-4 days. You also have to factor in the weekend. The doc probably got the results but they may not have hit their desk until Thurs or even Friday. 

    A week is a long time but doesn't mean good or bad. I would definitely call again tomorrow and see if you can get the results.
